In the Renaissance, science and technology is very different from our science and technology today. The humanists were very curious and started to make new inventions and started to explore around the world. In the Renaissance time period, there were many new tools for science such as the microscope and the barometer . These tools helped with the weather and to magnify objects. We still have some of this ancient tools today. Nicolaus Copernicus was the first scientist to challenge the medieval view of the universe. He spent his life tracking the sun, moon, and the planets. He ended up concluding that the sun, not the Earth was the center of the universe. Copernicus had many followers after he had passed and some of there named are Johannes Kepler and Galileo Galilei. They all supported Copernicus's beliefs and he ended up being correct. Galileo as a matter of fact was charged for heresy and had to stop teaching his beliefs, but he disregarded this and keep with all his beliefs. Isaac Newton was also a very smart man because he realized that all these beliefs were missing a theory. He made a theory and made it correct. Francis Bacon and Rene Descartes were the last of the smart scientists of the renaissance.
